These muted and mixing colors are a very unique color palette, typically I create harmonious color palettes with complimentary colors but this painting completely broke away from it, a muted rainbow of colors. At the time of making this painting I was experiencing a lot of disassociation, an experience where I felt disconnected from my thoughts and body, this painting was a representation of that the fuzzed muted effect of the painting mixing with water created a very soft muted effect that properly captured the feeling of that sensation.
